Garden Walk
CLC members who are interested in gardening are invited to attend an educational event in Fountain City. This will take place May 10th, which is one week before the CLC plant sale. It will start at 9:30 am and last until approx. 11:30 am. Jan Varner will lead a demonstration on how to split perennials. She will talk about how and when to split them. Those interested could do some and pot them. Afterwards we will have a walk around the gardens. Please sign-up on the sheet in the narthex if you will be attending. The directions to Jan’s house are as follows: If you’re coming from Winona, turn left after coming off the bridge in Wis. on 35 by the Spur Station. On your way toward Ft. City, you will see a sign that says YY. Here you will turn right & go about 1/4 mile. You will see a housing development on the left, a brown fence, & you turn here. Plant Sale & Exchange: Please donate any starts of flowers and plants you have by 8:00 a.m. We need you to place an index card with the name, annual/perennial, shade or sun, color, etc. on each plant. Your extra pots are always needed. Thrivent will be providing matching funds with proceeds going to help our first time seminary students.



Central Lutheran Church Childcare Center

Central Lutheran Childcare Center is a state licensed ELCA faith based program. The CLC Childcare Center serves, nurtures and welcomes children and families in the Winona and surrounding areas. Care is provided for children ages six weeks through PreKindergarden. In summer months we provide care for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Our goal is to nurture the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the children in a Christian atmosphere.

All Children are welcome and we respect and celebrate cultural, racial, social and lifestyle differences.

Central Lutheran Childcare Center provides a clean, safe, loving and educational environment.

The Center provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for all children. Witt Vending caters the lunch.

Baby formula and food is provided for the infants. The brand of formula chosen by the Center is Good Start.

Current Weekly Fees (2006)

  • Infants ages 6 weeks through 16 months $135.00
  • Toddlers ages 16 months through 33 months $125.00
  • Preschool ages 33 months through Pre-Kindergarten $115.00
  • School age summer program for children who are entering Kindergarten through 5th grade $100.00

Current Half-day Fees (morning or afternoon 20-hours minimum)

  • Infants ages 6 weeks through 16 months $5.00 per hour
  • Toddlers ages 16 months through 33 months $4.00 per hour
  • Preschool ages 33 months through PreKindergarten $3.75 per hour
  • School age summer program for children who are entering Kindergarten through 5th grade $25/day (minimum of 3 days)

The center reserves the right to change these rates without notice
